Take Profit Trader is a high-growth proprietary trading firm handling hundreds of millions of dollars in trading volume. Dedicated to innovation, operational excellence, and empowering traders globally, they are hiring a Video Editor. This role is responsible for designing and owning the backend streaming infrastructure that processes live trading data and delivers low-latency alerts and signals to traders and internal systems.

Position Responsibilities:


We're hiring a Video Editor to join our in-house creative team, working alongside two other editors. You'll edit short- and long-form video for organic social and paid campaigns, and deliver each piece in the aspect ratios and specs that every platform and placement calls for.

This role includes:

  • Edit short-form video (Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, X) and long-form video (YouTube, webinars, podcasts, explainers) for organic and paid channels
  • Cut paid ad creative in multiple versions, with different hooks, lengths and CTAs, so the media team can test what performs
  • Deliver every project in the right aspect ratio and spec for each placement (9:16, 4:5, 1:1, 16:9), with safe zones respected and captions and text overlays built for sound-off viewing
  • Use AI tools daily to speed up the work: transcription and text-based editing, auto-captions, smart reframing, voice isolation and audio cleanup, generative b-roll and image assets, motion graphics, and repurposing long-form content into short clips
  • Work in shared DaVinci Resolve projects and follow team conventions for project structure, file naming, media management and versioning, so any editor can pick up any project
  • Take direction from the marketing and creative leads and turn revisions around quickly
  • Manage several projects at once and hit deadlines in a high-volume content environment

Qualifications

  • 2 to 4 years of professional video editing experience, in-house, agency, or at a creator or media company
  • A portfolio or reel of short- and long-form work you edited, with your role on each piece made clear
  • Strong command of DaVinci Resolve, or deep experience in Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro and a willingness to move fully to Resolve within your first 60 days
  • Hands-on experience using AI in your editing workflow, such as Resolve's built-in AI features (Magic Mask, Smart Reframe, Voice Isolation, AI transcription), and any additional AI tools through Claude MCP/Connectors/Plugins, and knowledge of generative AI models (Seedance, VEO, NanoBanana etc)
  • Solid fundamentals in pacing, story, hooks and retention for social video
  • Working skills in color correction, audio mixing, captions and basic motion graphics
  • Knowledge of platform specs and best practices across Meta, TikTok, YouTube and X
  • Clear communication, comfort with feedback, and organized habits in a shared team environment

Bonus Points

  • Experience editing performance-driven paid ads for Meta, YouTube or TikTok, and using results data to shape the next round of edits
  • Experience at a digital marketing or advertising agency, or with a brand or creator that has a large social following
  • Motion graphics in Fusion or After Effects
  • Experience writing prompts for generative video and image tools, or automating repetitive editing steps with templates, presets or scripts

Location: Fully Remote in the United States 


Compensation

  • The expected annual salary range for this role is 75-85K annually. Actual compensation within this range will be determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as any applicable employment laws.
  • End-of-Year Discretionary Performance Bonus: up to 20% of annual salary, based on individual and company performance
