The Opportunity

Behind every successful operation is a finance team that is proactive, detail-oriented, and trusted to keep the business running smoothly. We are looking for a hands-on, highly organized Accounting and Payroll Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys owning critical financial operations that directly impact the business.

 

This is an opportunity to join a collaborative and entrepreneurial team where your contributions are visible, valued, and trusted. You will work closely with senior leadership, play a key role in daily financial operations, and help strengthen processes as the company continues to grow.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

Financial Operations & Cash Management

You will oversee key day-to-day accounting activities that keep the business operating efficiently and accurately, including:

 

  • Managing accounts receivable processing and payment application
  • Monitoring daily cash flow and bank balances
  • Supporting foreign exchange transactions and fund transfers
  • Maintaining accurate A/R aging and customer account records
  • Assisting with customer collections and payment follow-up
  • Helping minimize banking costs and prevent overdraft situations
  • Supporting monthly bank reconciliations and financial reporting

 

This role is highly operational and ideal for someone who enjoys staying close to the numbers while also thinking proactively about process improvement and financial accuracy.

 

Payroll & Benefits Administration

You will play a critical role in ensuring payroll and employee-related financial processes are executed accurately and on time, including:

  • Reviewing payroll changes and preparing payroll import files
  • Supporting weekly payroll processing deadlines
  • Calculating and validating quarterly sales commissions
  • Posting payroll journal entries
  • Managing benefits-related reconciliations and reporting
  • Ensuring employee coverage updates are accurately reflected

 

 Accounting & Reporting Support

Working closely with leadership, you will help maintain accurate financial records and support month-end and year-end activities by:

  • Reviewing revenue allocations and identifying discrepancies
  • Supporting FX adjustments and account revaluations
  • Maintaining balance sheet and P&L schedules
  • Preparing supporting reports and audit documentation
  • Assisting with external accountant and audit requests
  • Maintaining organized financial documentation and audit trails

What We’re Looking For

  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • PCP designation is considered an asset
  • Progress toward CPA designation is an asset
  • 5–10 years of experience in accounting, payroll, and financial administration

 

Technical Aptitude

  • Strong accounting and reconciliation experience
  • Payroll processing expertise
  • Experience with ERP systems and Dayforce/Ceridian
  • Knowledge of FX accounting and statutory remittances
  • Strong Excel and reporting capabilities
  • Ability to extract, analyze, and validate financial data
