Chief Executive Officer
Lead what is working. Shape what comes next.
The Technical Safety Authority of Saskatchewan (TSASK) is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead a respected, financially sound organization at an important point in its evolution.
TSASK protects people and supports responsible economic growth through the administration and enforcement of technical safety legislation across electrical, gas, plumbing, boiler and pressure vessel, elevating device and amusement ride programs. With a strong financial position, deep technical expertise and a growing national reputation, TSASK offers a rare opportunity to lead an organization with visible public impact and the agility to turn good ideas into meaningful results.
This is not a turnaround role. It is an opportunity to build from strength.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight while safeguarding TSASK’s regulatory independence, public credibility and commitment to safety.
The next CEO will guide the organization through a period of leadership renewal and continued modernization. Priorities will include strengthening succession and organizational capacity, advancing the evolution toward “One TSASK,” improving the integration of systems and services, and preparing the organization for a potential future role in safety oversight of nuclear energy development in the province.
The CEO will also serve as a trusted and credible voice with employees, government, Crown corporations, industry, labour representatives and regulatory partners. Success will require the ability to balance public accountability with practical, responsive and business-minded leadership.
Why TSASK?

The Leader We Are Seeking
TSASK does not need its CEO to be the organization’s leading technical expert. It needs an accomplished enterprise leader who can set direction, build trust, align people and turn strategy into action.
The successful candidate will be:
The ideal candidate will bring significant senior leadership experience, strong business acumen and a record of leading growth, modernization or organizational evolution. Experience in a regulatory, public protection, public-sector or similarly complex stakeholder environment would be an asset. Relevant academic or professional credentials may include an MBA, LLB, P.Eng., CPA or another combination of education and experience appropriate to the role.
Leadership That Listens—and Delivers
The first year will require thoughtful pacing. The new CEO will be expected to learn the organization, build credibility and preserve continuity before advancing major change. Early success will be reflected in a stable transition, sustained operational performance, stronger organizational alignment, clear strategic direction, productive stakeholder relationships and a practical path forward for future readiness.
TSASK welcomes leaders with diverse professional and lived experience who share its commitment to safety, integrity, respect, accountability, teamwork, professional service, recognition and continuous learning.
