Chief Financial Officer

Providing peace of mind by helping members feel secure today and confident about tomorrow.

Full-time | Regina, Saskatchewan

Plannera is seeking a Chief Financial Officer who brings sound financial judgment, a thoughtful approach to leadership and an appreciation for the responsibility that comes with serving others.

This is an opportunity to help shape the organization’s future while sustaining the financial discipline and accountability on which trust depends. As a member of the executive team, the CFO will bring a clear financial perspective to strategic decisions, help colleagues assess opportunities and trade-offs, and ensure that financial advice is practical, well supported and understood.

The mandate calls for a leader who can move comfortably between strategy and execution. You will guide financial planning, reporting and stewardship, strengthen the information that informs decisions, and build a capable team whose contribution is valued across the organization. Your influence will come through the quality of your judgment, the relationships you develop and your ability to make complex matters clear.

You bring a recognized professional accounting designation (CPA) and substantial, progressive experience in senior financial leadership, including responsibility for financial strategy, planning, reporting, internal controls and audit. You have led teams in a complex organization and demonstrated the ability to translate financial analysis into clear advice for executives and governing bodies.

Your experience includes overseeing budgets and financial forecasts, strengthening controls and reporting practices, and working effectively with external auditors and other professional advisers. You understand how sound governance and risk management support organizational performance, and you exercise careful judgment when balancing operational needs with longer-term commitments.

Experience in pension administration, financial services or another regulated environment would be an asset, as would experience supporting boards or committees and leading improvements to financial systems and processes.

Alongside your technical qualifications, you bring the maturity and interpersonal skill expected of an executive leader. You communicate complex issues clearly, build productive relationships across functions and develop capable teams. You are comfortable offering an independent perspective, addressing difficult issues constructively and taking accountability for decisions.

For a leader who finds meaning in responsible stewardship and lasting institutional strength, this role offers the opportunity to make a substantial contribution to Plannera and the people it serves.
